Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry services around 120 families each month and are supported by many volunteers in the church as well as the community. We are blessed to have the many hands from all walks of life coming together to make this work possible. 

2023 Food Distribution

Food Pantry distribution is the 3rd Monday of each month.

Distribution will begin at 5:00pm and will be drive thru distribution.

Please have your trunk empty so the staff can load your food.

Where is the food pantry held?

Our food pantry is held in the alley beside the Woodland Ave UMC at 201 Woodland Ave in Punxsutawney.

When is the food pantry?

The food pantry is held on the THIRD Monday of every month. . The food distribution starts at 5pm

Who does the Punxsy Cross Food Pantry Serve?

We serve families that are in and around the Punxsutawney Area. Our area mainly covers the Punxsy School District and outlying areas. If you are unsure about whether you are covered under our service area, or another, call the church office at 814-938-8160.

What do I need to bring with me to the Pantry

Each person receiving food must bring with them proof of residency the first time they attend the pantry. Proof of Residency includes a utility bill, insurance paperwork, copy of your lease or like items. Your drivers license does not count as a document of proof.

General Information

The distribution is a drive thru and REACT workers are in the area of the church to direct the traffic flow for the pantry. The line begins on Oakland Avenue.
